AICAR

AICAR, also known as acadesine, is an adenosine regulating agent and AMPKactivator. AICAR was found to activate AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) in skeletal muscle, inhibit acetyl-CoA carboxylase, reduce malonyl-CoA, and increase fatty acid oxidation and glucose uptake.
