Mechano-Growth Factor (MGF) peptide is a splice variant of insulin-like growth factor, that has been suggested to have cardiological effects, favorably influencing muscle growth, wound healing, cartilage repair, and brain development. MGF is expressed by mechanically overloaded muscle and is involved in tissue repair and adaptation, also involved in the activation of muscle satellite (stem) cells.
